DYNAMOS gaffer Tonderai Ndiraya is confident their new signing, Ghanaian Emmanuel Paga has more to give the Glamour Boys and that he will be a thorn in the flesh to most opponents this season.

Paga made his debut on Saturday together with Keith Murera, Issa Sadiki, Ralph Kawondera, Brandon Mpofu and Evans Katema when they picked a point away from home following a nil-all draw with FC Platinum.

The other foreigners signed by the Harare giants, Martin Ofori and Alex Oromatal, were not part of the squad, but Paga appears to have already charmed Ndiraya after a solid performance on his maiden appearance.

According to Ndiraya, the 22-year-old is the kind of player who thrives on confidence and momentum, but the former Warriors assistant coach says he needs to start believing that he is the calibre to be in Dynamos’ starting team.

“It might be too early to judge, but as we all saw, Paga was full of running. Of course, he had pressure because this was his first match. So if you ask me, that was not the Paga we know from training,” Ndiraya said.

“What I like about him is that he is a hard worker, he is very physical and he can run the whole match. So with much higher fitness levels, he can do anything so you must expect more because I know he will give us more.

“He is going to be tough to most opponents this season and most defenders will be facing a tough task when faced with him.”

The other new signings also gave a glimpse of what they can offer, with Katema showing that he has not lost his killer instincts.

Murera was impressive with his on and off the ball movements, and his blistering overlapping onto the right wings.

Kawondera was also exceptional, so was Mpofu who kept FC Platinum strikers at bay throughout the encounter, while Sadiki’s cameo appearance gave a glimpse of his potentially dangerous nimble left foot.

Overall, Ndiraya is convinced his team has improved, better than last season and can withstand any challenge this season.

“This is a different Dynamos. It’s more improved than before. We not only have good players but we have character. I can tell you that our team will be difficult to beat, with this quality we will be looking forward to each assignment without fear,” he said.
