AMBITIOUS Premier Soccer League (PSL) newcomers Hardrock FC have signed 2025 Soccer Star of The Year Washington Navaya.
The Kwekwe-based side landed Navaya’s signature after outbidding several local clubs that were interested in the striker, including Scottland FC.
Besides local teams, Navaya was also on the radar of South African sides Durban City and Stellenbosch.
The reigning soccer star joins Hardrock as a free agent, following the lapse of his contract with Tel One FC in December 2025.
Other than landing the 2025 Soccer Star award, Navaya was the top goal scorer in the league after banging 17 goals.
Hardrock FC is on a spending spree which has seen them signing several local PSL stars like Warriors goalkeeper Martin Mapisa from MWOS, and a duo of Donald Mudadi and Junior Makunike from Simba Bhora.
Meawhile, Hardrock FC is reported to be targeting Bafana Bafana defender Kwanda Mngonyama.
The ambitious outfit is said to be in talks with the South African defender, who is set to add on their growing list of foreign players at the club.
Already, Hardrock FC has Zambian Andrew Phiri and Ghanaian goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya. — NewZimbabwe
