The Brazilian played a key role in United’s resurgence, helping the team secure a top-four finish and a place in the UEFA Champions League. However, the 2023-24 season had been less kind to the 32-year-old as his form noticeably dipped, with errors creeping into his performances. And the recent struggles against the Reds have put his future in uncertain waters under Erik ten Hag.

He is currently Manchester United’s highest-paid player, earning a reported £375,000 ($394,000) per week and it is unlikely that Galatasaray would be able to match these wages. The Red Devils were hoping to get a formal offer from one of the clubs in the Saudi Pro League but with the transfer window now closed, the prospect of Casemiro moving to the Middle East has dissipated. — Goal
