She emphasized the importance of combating corruption and managing unequal distribution of wealth in order to revive the country’s economy.

“It is actually a joke of an economy, there is need to curb the issue of corruption and unequal distribution of wealth,” said Abigail.
Munyoro expressed her disappointment in the country’s failure to deal with corruption stating that those in leadership are encouraging corruption which is very unfortunate.

Lack of accountability, according to Abigail stands as a major challenge towards achieving change in the country. She mentioned that the country lacks proper system of checks and balances, the higher one goes up the hierarchy level the less accountable they are.

Adding on, she made reference to the Mutapa Fund which she says deprives citizens a chance to have infrastructure and development.

Having Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (ZACC), and National Prospecting Authority (NPA), is not enough for the organisations serve the needs of the ruling party rather than doing what’s best for the nation, added Abigail.

Nepotism, as stated by Munyoro, has been detrimental to the country’s economy. She argued that the economy must be managed by competent and patriotic people who have the interests of citizens at heart, not giving positions to unqualified people just because they are family.

“A nation’s economy needs to be driven by competent, patriotic individuals who prioritize interests of people and service delivery. There is need for an independent appointment board that recruits candidates based on merit,” she added.

ZIM party, founded in September 2023 is a women led progressive movement which believes in changing the lives of masses. Munyoro says, “We speak about freedom for all and freedom in all, and independence for all and in all.”
