FEBRITE (Pvt) Ltd, a leading player in Zimbabwe’s energy sector, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nexos from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, bringing a new chapter of cooperation between the two nations.

Speaking after the signing of the MOU, Washington Chikombingo, CEO of Febrite (Pvt) Ltd, highlighted that this milestone marks a significant step towards bolstering bilateral trade, fostering innovation, and strengthening economic ties between Zimbabwe and Pakistan.

He further emphasised that the occasion also brings together two industry leaders, united in their pursuit of driving growth and progress in their respective nations, across a diverse range of sectors.

“The collaboration marks the beginning of a new force that will focus on innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI), energy solutions, project management, and technology transfer.

“This wonderful milestone event where two giants are joining forces for the betterment of our two great nations.

“The collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for businesses, enhance trade relations, and foster a strong friendship between Zimbabwe and Pakistan.

“With this MOU, Febrite Pvt Ltd and Nexos are poised to make a significant impact in the region, driving progress and prosperity for generations to come.

“Febrite Pvt Ltd plans to set up manufacturing and distribution plants across Zimbabwe and the SADC region, with the aim of participating in the African Continental Free Trade Area,”he said

Chikombingo highlighted the diverse sectors in which Febrite operates, including healthcare, mining, and engineering.

Febrite (Pvt) Ltd is a member of the WC Holdings International Group and has many other divisions that cut across various sectors like health care, mining, international trade, contracting, engineering and general commodity brokerage.

“Febrite (Pvt) Ltd managed to execute many contracts with Zimbabwe’s State institutions like ZETDC (Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company), ZPC (Zimbabwe Power Company), REA (Rural Electrification Agency), Municipality of Chegutu,” he said.

The event, held at ZAS offices, was graced by the Pakistan Ambassador to Zimbabwe Murad Baseer, and the head of delegation of the Pakistan International Business Trade Industries and Commerce Chairman Shouban Akhtar during the Harare Agricultural Show.  — NewZimbabwe
