Esau and Tatenda Macheso

ALICK Macheso’s sons  Esau and Tatenda  are ready to face the world.

The brothers, who lead Orchestra Mberikwazvo Junior, are planning to launch their debut album titled Pahukama Hwedu on the eve of their father’s 55th birthday on June 9.

The event has been slated for Chitungwiza’s Tanza Centre.

Esau and Tatenda say they are ready to have their first dance with fans.

Pahukama Hwedu is a special project and we are excited to launch it on the eve of their father’s birthday at Tanza Centre on June 9,” said Macheso’s band manager, Tich Makahamadze.

“They have been groomed so well that they are ready to go on this journey alone and have fans of our own.

“Of course, Baba Sharo will always back them as their father but the boys are maturing fast.”

The two said they were not worried about being compared to the sungura ace since they have a lot of respect for their father.

“They will always be compared to their father and, through this first project, they hope to make an impression but, as always, tinosiira zvese kune vateereri ndivo vanodudzira kunaka kwazvo.

“Everything is set and we are set for the launch,” he said.

For Macheso, seeing his two sons follow in his footsteps, means a lot to him and he has called on all his fans to support Orchestra Mberikwazvo   Junior.

His camp has also revealed plans to launch a new video of the song Makazvinzwepiko off his latest album Tinosvitswa Nashe to celebrate his birthday. — HMetro
