LIVERPOOL – UK based Zimbabwean gospel singer, model and pastor, Walter Chahwanda, 33, of Plemonstall Court in Chester was arrested on Thursday, March 13 and charged with sexual offences including rape.
Chahwanda who leads the Walter Chahwanda Ministries was charged with “with: rape; assault by penetration and sending photograph/film of genitals to cause alarm, distress or humiliation.”
The arrest follows an investigation by Merseyside Police.
Chahwanda appeared at Liverpool Adult Remand Court on Saturday, March 15 and has been remanded into custody to next appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, April 14.
In 2015, the then 24-year-old hosted his ‘My Devotion’ Live DVD recording at the Picaddily Banqueting Suite in Birmingham.
