TWO suspects have been arrested and charged with armed robbery in connection with the Paza Buster Car Sale robbery that took place in December last year.

Bhekhumpilo Ncube of Luveve suburb and Mehluli Ncube from Insiza, and their accomplices still on the run allegedly confronted two security guards manning the car sale on December 3 at around 11pm and tied them up.

The robbers, who were wearing balaclavas and armed with unknown pistols, broke into the administration office where they stole US$3 000 that was inside a safe.

They also stole a brand new laptop, Mercedes Benz S450 keys and Mercedes G Wagon car keys and company documents.

Detectives from CID Homicide received a tip-off that the two men were behind the robbery and they tracked them down to Bulawayo, leading to their arrest.

Mehluli was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm after the police recovered a 9mm star pistol with an empty magazine and a loaded Ekol Air pistol during his arrest.

The two appeared before magistrate Stanford Mambanje charged with armed robbery and were remanded in custody. — HMetro
