TWO Harare men staying in the same house as husband and wife have been dragged to court for sodomy.
The pair, Tavimbanashe Chawatama (28) and Leonard Nyakudya (25) appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court.
The two were granted US$50 bail each and they return to court on September 6.
The State’s case is that the duo got into an intimate relationship sometime in August last year.
Accused persons started living together and would have sexual intercourse on several occasions. The State alleges that they would sometimes use their mobile phones to record the intimate encounters.
Their shenanigans were exposed on August 27 this year when they had a heated argument wherein the first accused person alleged the second accused was cheating.
The fracas escalated and second accused person decided to move out of the house, but before doing so, first accused alleged his money was missing.
Chawatama and Nyakudya then decided to involve police to resolve the issue of missing cash.
While under interrogation, the accused persons inadvertently furnished police with the details of the crime of sodomy as they narrated the issue of money which had vanished as well as their living arrangement.
The two were immediately arrested. — NewZimbabwe
