DStv South Africa has announced that it will upgrade customers on its lower and mid-tier packages to higher-tier bouquets at no extra cost for the next two months. Premium subscribers will also enjoy two additional free streaming connections.

The promotion, which runs from 10 November to 31 December 2025, will see Compact and Compact Plus customers gain access to all Premium channels, while Family and Access customers will be upgraded to Compact. DStv said:

“No action is required from customers, and normal billing resumes in January 2026.

“With the summer holidays fast approaching, families can enjoy a wide range of local and international entertainment.”

Premium customers will have their concurrent streaming limit increased from two to four, extending a benefit previously introduced during the recent Open Weekend. They will also earn extra DStv Rewards points during the promotion.

DStv has dubbed the campaign “Thol-iUpsize”, describing it as part of its ongoing effort to enhance customer value.

MultiChoice South Africa Pay-TV CEO, Byron du Plessis, said the promotion forms part of a broader “value reset” initiative by the company. He said:

“We’re focused on making DStv more accessible and rewarding, with affordability and customer experience at the heart of our strategy.”

DStv said all active Compact Plus, Compact, Family, and Access decoder subscribers in South Africa between 10 November and 31 December 2025 will automatically qualify for the Thol-iUpsize promotion.

The offer applies to new customers, reconnections, contract subscribers, and those paying annually, with the upgrade activated automatically—no registration required.

However, DStv said the upgraded channels will be available only via decoders. Customers streaming on the DStv app will continue to access content from their standard packages. – MyBroadBand
